It has been six years since the last installment of the 'Fallout' franchise was released-yet, fans are still raving about the upcoming installment of the game 'Fallout 4,' Gamer Headlines reported.
Credible news and information about the 4th 'Fallout' remain very scarce and fans should take some time before buying into the rumors and hoaxes that propagate online. Recent reports however seem to agree that the game is expected to be available by 2015.Currently, amidst the entire buzz about the coming of the post-apocalyptic role-playing series, the game developers have their mouths shut regarding the release.
Just as hopes of the fans were about to be crushed, another news sparked the thrill once again. Bethesda finally made a move when they filed for the trademark of the Pip Boy device from the Fallout Universe at the United States Patent and Trademark Office earlier this month, Christian Today reported.
So is this another one of those bogus reports? This time, it may not be so since Bethesda confirmed the reports through a tweet by Pete Hines.
The company posted, "Not a hoax. our filing. just protecting our trademark. also helps in dealing with infringement stuff."
In addition to that, Bethesda also explained the reason behind their decision to purchase the series from Black Isle Studios.
Serving as the company representative, Pete Hines stated, "The whole reason we went out and acquired the license and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one. This is not something we're going to do once and then go away and never do it again. When that will be or how long that will be God only knows, but we acquired it specifically because we wanted to own it and develop it and work on it like we do with The Elder Scrolls" reported Kpopstarz.
The news fired up more excitement among gamers who are eagerly anticipating for 'Fallout 4.' Earlier this year, Bethesda game director Todd Howard mentioned during an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun that the company has no timeframe for any game announcements, but he believes that it may take some time before they actually make one, wrote Christian Today.
