Dancing with the Stars 2015: Will another member of the Derek Hough Family Join the Stellar Line-up in the 20th Season?

By

With the landmark 20th season of ABC network's 'Dancing with the Stars' set to air in March 2015, there are already talks as to who will be joining the star-studded roster. According to a report by HollywoodLife, another member of the Hough family just might be cast as a contestant.

Based on the reports by HollywoodLife, Disney Channel star Ross Lynch is currently in the talks with Dancing With the Stars producers to join the show. Lynch, 19 starred in films, such as, Teen Beach Movie and Austin & Ally. He is also a member of the pop group R5.

According to a DWTS insider, "They have asked him and the offer is always on the table. He has said 'no' so far but they will keep asking him. It's all up to him."

Lynch is the cousin of Julianne Hough, who is as of this writing, one of the judges of the show. It is also to be noted that fan favorite Derek Hough is also a cousin of the young actor. When asked about the possibility of her cousin joining as a contestant of DWTS, Julianne seemed quite positive about the idea.

"Ross! He would be amazing. He would do really well. Any of the Lynch's would do amazing. All of my cousins!" Julianne told HollywoodLife in an interview.

If Ross Lynch were to join the celebrity dance competition next season, he wouldn't be the first Disney Channel actor to join DWTS. Notably, Corbin Bleau of High School Musical fame came in second place during the seventeenth season. Shake it Up star Zendaya Coleman also came in second during season sixteen.

Lynch would most likely be a frontrunner should he decide to join 'Dancing with the Stars.' His peers from the Disney Channel have performed exceptionally well during their run as contestants in the dancing competition. Given his dancing and performing background, Lynch will surely bring his own brand of competition up to the plate.
