Carlton, No! Alfonso Ribeiro Severely Injured Doing "The Carlton," May Have to Quit "Dancing With the Stars"

It's official: doing "The Carlton" is hazardous to your health.

According to TMZ, Alfonso Ribeiro, the actor most famous for the role of Carlton on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," has severely injured himself in a recent episode of the series, having thrown out his back while doing "The Carlton" in a dance number.

According to TMZ, the injury is so severe that Ribeiro is having difficulty walking, and it may very well mean the end of his stint on "Dancing with the Stars."

It seems Ribeiro had previously injured his groin dancing in an early episode, but has shrugged off the pain and continued to dance through the season- at least until this back injury caught up to him.

E! Online has a quote about Ribeiro's first injury- the groin, not the back:

"On the dance floor, we give it our all and we hold nothing back and we do everything we can to deliver the best performance that we can regardless of whether we're in pain or not."

According to People, Ribeiro has already skipped a few rehearsals due to the injury, so the star's outlook is not great. Which is a shame, because Ribeiro is easily one of the current frontrunners on "Dancing with the Stars"- not only for his dancing skills, but for his fame playing the dorky cousin to Will Smith on "Fresh Prince."

All those who once laughed at Carlton's ridiulous dance moves are now pulling for him to recover from this "The Carlton"-based injury, and dance his way to a "Dancing with the Stars" win. Ribeiro and his dance partner, Witney Carson, are about to dance in the show's semi-finals- hopefully this injury won't jeopardize that.

Check back soon for the latest news on "Dancing with the Stars," and Alfonso Ribeiro's current condition.
