Madonna on drug use: 'As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me" ; Singer prefers a day of silence, thinks prostitution is important

Madonna is still an image to behold, and she has proven that from her recent naked photoshoot for Interview Magazine where the 56-year-old singer also opened up about trying everything at least once, including drugs.

The internet was abuzz with news about Madonna posing for a racy photoshoot despite her age. While others could not have pulled off the raunchy shots, Madonna proved to be as stunning as she was in her earlier years. According to Daily Record, "Our jaws hit the floor when we saw these pics for Interview Magazine of the superstar in eye-popping lingerie and one snap of her TOPLESS!"

The most revealing of Madonna's series of photos for Interview magazine showed her posing on a bed with a strapped bra and corset, with her breasts highlighted. She also donned black gloves.

Another image has the superstar wearing pink gloves reminiscent of her "Material Girl" music video.

According to Cosmopolitan, the photographs were courtesy of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Alongside the photos, Madonna was interviewed by magician David Blaine, who also happens to be her friend, Daily Record reports. "Madonna spoke about death, drugs, prostitution and how she's attracted to creative people," the article details.

Blaine's question veered towards drug use after mentioning Madonna's upcoming song, "Devil Prays."

Madonna explained: "It's about how people take drugs to connect to God or to a higher level of consciousness." Apparently, Madonna thinks some people believe getting high is a way to get closer to God.

Furthermore, Madonna adds, "That's the illusion of drugs, because they give you the illusion of getting closer to God, but ultimately they kill you."

Madonna was quick to deny any addiction problems. "I tried everything once, but as soon as I was high, I spent my time drinking tons of water to get it out of my system. As soon as I was high, I was obsessed with flushing it out of me."

Also in the interview, Madonna said that the most important profession is prostitution.

Madonna also relayed with Blaine, who she playfully called neurotic, that she wouldn't mind a day of being alone. "I feel like people are always talking to me, at me, asking things, questioning me, wanting information, work, music, loud noises, children-it's endless. So the idea of a whole day of silence sounds very seductive to me," Madonna admitted.

This wouldn't be the first time Interview magazine is featuring a topless photo, as The Telegraph shares that Keira Knightley posed for the magazine last summer.
