29th annual Golden Disk Awards reveals list of nominees; Award ceremony to be held in Beijing China

The 29^th annual Golden Disk Awards recently announced its list of nominees on December 2.

The nominees for the Album and Digital Daesang (most outstanding) awards, as well as Best Newcomer Award were previously announced through the award giving body's official website, which is currenly down.

Nominated artists for the Golden Disk Album Daesang (Album of the Year) include, g.o.d (Chapter 8), GOT7 (Got Love?), INFINITE (Season 2), f(x) (Red Light), Apink (Pink Blossom), 2NE1 (Crush), 2PM (Go Crazy!), B.A.P (First Sensibility), BTS (Dark and Wild), VIXX (Eternity), Block B (H.E.R.), BEAST (Good Luck), B1A4 (Who Am I?), Seo Taiji (Quiet Night), Girls' Generation (Mr.Mr.), TaeTiSeo (Holler), Akdong Musician (Play), CNBLUE (Can't Stop), EXO (Overdose), Epik High (Shoebox), WINNER (2014 S/S), Taemin (Ace), Taeyang (Rise), Toheart (The 1st Mini album) and TEEN TOP (Exito).

For the Golden Disk Digital Album Daesang (Digital Track of the Year), the nominees are: 2NE1's "Come Back Home," g.o.d's "The Lone Duckling," HIGH4 ft. IU's "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms," Girl's Day's "Something," Gary ft. Jungin's "Your Scent," HyunA's "Red," Kim Dong Ryul's "How I Am," Red Velvet's "Happiness," Park Boram's "You Became Beautiful," and Park Hyoshin's "Wild Flower."

Also nominated are, Block B's "H.E.R," San E ft. Raina's "A Midsummer Night's Sweetness," Seo Taiji's "Sogyeokdong," Girls' Generation's "Mr.Mr.," Soyou ft. Junggigo's "Some," SISTAR's "Touch My Body," CNBLUE's "Can't Stop," IU's "My Old Story," Akdong Musician's "200%," EXO's "Overdose," Apink's "Mr. Chu," Ailee's "Don't Touch Me," Epik High's "Happen Ending," WINNER's "Empty," K.Will's "Day 1,″ and Taeyang's "Eyes, Nose, Lips."

Meanwhile, the Golden Disk Best New Artist Award nominees are: HIGH4, GOT7, Park Boram, WINNER, Akdong Musician, Red Velvet, Eddy Kim, and Bernard Park.

Dubbed as Korea's Grammys, the Golden Disk Awards was founded in 1986 by the Music Industry Association of Korea. It recognizes outstanding musical artists in South Korea.

According to Koreaboo, this year's awards show will take place at the Mastercard Center in Beijing, China. In the past years, the award shows has been held in other Asian countries such as Japan and Malaysia.

On the 28^th Golden Disk Awards held early this year, EXO took home the Album of the Year award for the group's "XOXO," while Psy received the Song of the Year award for "Gentleman."

The 29th Golden Disk Awards is scheduled on January 14-15^th, Korean Updates reports.
