EXO main vocalist and rising actor Do Kyungsoo, more popularly known as D.O, is set to make his big screen debut in the U.S. D.O's movie, "Cart" is scheduled to be screened in Austin Texas, following its premiere in several international film festivals.

The film will be having a special screening on December 15 at the Highland Galaxy 10 movie theatre in Austin, KpopStars reports.

"Cart" is based on a story of contract workers who were unlawfully fired by their employer at a large grocer. The employees went on strike as a protest to the unlawful firing.

D.O plays the role of high school student Choi Tae Young, son of actress Yeom Jung Ah's character Sun Hee, the leader of the workers' union. The EXO member's character struggles with his mother's treatment and also works part-time while studying.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Texas will be hosting a Korean event this year, according to KpopStars. It has also been the venue for shows such as Jay Park and Hyuna during world famous music festival SXSW. Idol groups VIXX and Boyfriend also had their fan meeting there.

In other news, it was reported previously that critics chose D.O as the No.1 idol-turned-actor of the year on "Entertainment Relay." The show estimated that there were 40 idol-turned-actors for supporting roles on this year's major-broadcast TV series. "Entertainment Relay" asked 10 drama and pop culture critics to rank the idol-turned-actors.

Apink's Eunji from "Trot Lovers" came in at third place while the second place went to ZE:A's Siwan from "Triangle."

EXO's D.O of "It's Okay, That's Love" got the top spot with a critic saying the singer-actor "showed an unbelievably deep interpretation of his character."

Meanwhile, EXO recently revealed that they are gearing for a comeback next year. The announcement was made through a mysterious teaser revealed after EXO's performance in MAMA 2014, where they won "Best Artist of the Year" and "Best Album of the Year."
