EXO members Suho and Baekhyun will be quitting their hosting duties on SBS' "Inkigayo" to focus fully on their group's upcoming comeback.
On December 12, a rep from the music show revealed the two idols' last broadcast on "Inkigayo," Soompi reports. "Suho and Baekhyun will be stepping down following this week's December 14 broadcast," said the rep. "Their replacements have not yet been decided."
"We are still considering if the new MC will be an idol or not. Nothing other than Suho and Baekhyun's leave has been determined," the rep added.
The two idols, who joined the show last February, will be leaving co-MCs Kwanghee of idol group ZE:A and young actress Kim Yoo Jung, Daily Kpop News reports.
Meanwhile, EXO, which is now composed of 10 members, is gearing up for their comeback early next year, notes Soompi. Right after the idol group's concerts in Japan on December 22-24, they will officially start prepping for their much-awaited comeback.
The announcement of the K-pop group's comeback was made after their performance at MAMA 2014 earlier this month, where they bagged four awards, including two of the three highest honors of the annual music event.
They released a mysterious teaser clip showing EXO's hexagon maze logo with 10 balls outside and another two inside, leading fans with various speculations on the group's member lineup. The teaser also confirmed the groups comeback in 2015.
In other news, EXO ranked seventh on Billboards' World Albums Artists chart this year, which according to Kpop Herald, is the highest ranking for a K-pop act.
EXO released the second EP "Overdose" back in May in both Korean and Chinese. The Korean version of the album reached No. 129 in Billboard 200 Chart, topping Heatseekers Album Chart.
Meanwhile, female idol group 2NE1 ranked No. 9 on the same chart.
