Leah Calvert and ex-husband Corey Simms are done fighting over the custody of their twin daughters Ali and Aleeah after agreeing to split custody equally. Despite rumors of divorce, Calvert is still with husband Jeremy.
The MTV stars of "Teen Mom 2" have reached an agreement after three months of fighting over the custody of their twins, IB Times shares. In a recent decision revealed by Simms' attorney, Rusty Webb, via Radar Online, Calvert and Simms have had a very amicable hearing on December 8 at the Kanawha County Court in West Virginia.
According to IB Times, the former couple had different intentions in wanting to have more custody over the kids. "Lea claimed her guardianship hearings were sparked by her request for Corey to pay more child support," says the article. As for Corey, the site explains, "Corey said he filed for custody because of Leah's suspected drug use."
Following the settlement the two had agreed on, Calvert will have the kids for four nights, while Simms and current wife, Miranda, will have them for three nights. Medical expenses for their special needs child, Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, will be a shared responsibility, shares Webb.
Calvert and Simms hail from MTV's show "Teen Mom 2," which is slated for its sixth season, with Calvert confirming that she will be making a return, as told by Ashley's Reality Roundup. Calvert will be joining Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans, and Kailyn Lowry, who have already started filming, reports IB Times.
Just a month ago, Calvert has expressed on Twitter that unlike her three female co-stars, she will not be continuing with the show, but according to IB Times, Calvert may have changed her mind because of money problems. "Despite her distaste for broadcasting her marriage troubles, which includes a rumored divorce, with husband Jeremy, 25, with whom she shares daughter Adalynn, 1, the mom of three is said to have had a change of heart due to one reason: money," says the article.
On top of her supposed money and drug problems, Calvert is also reported to be going through a divorce with husband Jeremy Calvert. However, Inquisitr mentions the couple is still together. Us Weekly has a source confirming, "He's (Jeremy) not checked out of their marriage."
