Fans of Ryan Gosling are all dying to see their favorite actor do another big screen movie. Sony may grant their wish TWICE if their negotiations push through.
International Business Times reported that Sony has two incoming movie projects which will get Ryan Gosling to the silver screen. The first big movie project is the supervillain group known as Sinister Six and the other is the reboot of the 1980s big hit Ghostbusters.
Due to the recent Sony email hacks, several top secret communications from top management and managers were revealed. Among these conversations were email exchanges between Ilene Feldman, the talent manager of Ryan Gosling, and Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment. According to the Daily Beast, Feldman wrote to Pascal last October 3, 2014 the following:
"Ryan absolutely loved you. Said it was like speed dating because he was late after hitting every wrong gate on the lot. Not it should turn to marriage. He really wants to do something with you."
Pascal forwarded the email to the co-president of production for Columbia Pictures, Michael De Luca. When she asked the president what Gosling wants in their projects, De Luca said that "It's Ghostbusters according to Ilene."
However, there may be no spot left for the actor in Ghostbusters since the planned movie revival will be an all-female reboot. But Paul Feig said that there may be a role for Ryan Gosling, saying that "There is one make [male] part paul is planning. How insane would that be... He also wants jennifer [Lawrence] and Emma [Stone]."
The Daily Beast also reported that there was another email exchange between Pascal and Feldman revealing that Sony is also interested in Gosling for their Sinister Six and Steve Jobs biopic. Pascal wrote that "i wanted to talk to him about sinister and jobs," she added that "you tell me what ehe [sic] is interested in."
Ryan Gosling will be a big star for the Sinister Six; however his recent film portfolio shows that he does not have any interest in these kinds of movies. Slash Film reports that the actor likes to diversity in his roles and he may consider taking a new experience with Sinister Six.
Whether Ryan Gosling will star in the Ghostbuster reboot or the upcoming Sinister Six, we have yet to see the final cast and the confirmation of the actor. Stay tuned to our future articles for more development on this!
