After the news broke that idols Lee Joon and Thunder are leaving MBLAQ, the idol group's record label J. Tune Camp has stepped forward to express their side on the matter.

The agency issued an official press release on December 16. Published by Soompi,The statement reads as follows:

"The agency has continued to go through a process of negotiation with Lee Joon and Thunder regarding their contract renewal, and at the end of these long discussions, we have decided to respect their opinions to go their separate ways. The two members have personally expressed the desire to focus on their individual paths as an actor and as a musician, and we sincerely wish them the best to be able to follow their dreams in a good environment in the future.

"Regardless of the end of the two members' team activities, MBLAQ will continue on from now on. MBLAQ has plans to release an album as three members in the first half of next year, and they will also be taking part in solo as well as other individual activities. We once again thank all the fans that support and cheer on MBLAQ, and we ask that you continue to show a lot of love and interest."

Meanwhile, remaining member, Mir, has expressed his thoughts on the departure of two of his fellow MBLAQ members. The idol group's youngest member took to his group's official fan café to apologize to their disappointed fans.

As reported by Koreaboo, Mir expressed his apologies saying, "I am very sorry that our fans have had to hear this bad news all of a sudden. We were also very taken aback after seeing the reports online, as we had been concerned on how we should let you all know. I want to apologize for the fact that you had to receive the news from an outside source.

"Since it is a path that they have chosen for themselves, I don't think badly about it, and the reason for their departure actually has nothing to do with the rumors of discord within the group. Ever since our trainee days, our hearts have been in the same place for six years. Simply, the only difference is our own choices," he added.

Mir ended the post saying, "I'm just holding my cell phone, unable to write anything more. The only thing that I can possibly say is I'm sorry, and once everything gets resolved, I will greet you once again with the members."

According to Kpop Herald, Lee Joon and Thunder's decided not to renew their exclusive contracts with J. Tune Camp after it expired in late November.
