With the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 being the latest tablet offerings of Apple, Inc., there are already rumors and speculations of an iPad Air Plus and an iPad Mini 4. While Apple has yet to address these rumors, there have been talks of a "bigger and better tablet". What does this mean for the tablet industry?
According to MacRumors, Apple, Inc. is currently working on a bigger edition of the iPad. While there is no official name for the device as of this writing, it is safe to go with the name "iPad Air Plus" The report would further state that the tablet would boast a 12.2-inch screen.
MacRumors further says that the iPad Air Plus would measure 305.31 x 220.8 x 7 mm. The processor would be powered by the A8X processor. This is the same processor that powers the current iPad Air 2. The iPad Air Plus is said to have dual speakers, and will bear similar resemblance to its predecessor.
While the iPad Mini 3 didn't come with much improvements, Apple will most likely be working on upgraded features for the iPad Mini 4. According to IBTimes, the iPad Mini 4 will look similar to its predecessor, but will be running on the powerful A8X processor. The mini tablet also boasts of 128-bit architecture, 2 GB of RAM, as well as a thinner and lighter body. The release of the iPad Mini 4 would spell the discontinuation of its predecessors, including the iPad Mini 3.
The MacRumors reports states that iPad Mini 4 and iPad Air Plus release dates would probably fall between April and June 2015. If that's the case, people who are fans of Apple can be frenzy of what might be the next features and updates, as speculations and conclusive rumors spread by 2-3 months prior to the announcement.
