Since the announcement of Princess Kate' second pregnancy with husband Prince William, news organizations and even tabloids are checking every itinerary of the royal couple, including those with their firstborn, baby George.
Recently, the Royal Couple were spotted attending Christmas services at St. Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England. Although Kate's coat managed to cover her growing baby bump, baby George's absence during the services was very obvious.
On the other hand, People reported that despite the almost 500 well-wishers who were at the church to greet the Royal family, it is expected that royal children under 4 to 5 years of age to not attend public services. Aside from baby George, Prince Charles's wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was also absent from the services due to her bad back.
Princess Kate was overheard by The Telegraph saying to a young well-wisher, "I'm sorry we didn't bring George but you would have heard him in the church."
On the other hand, William and Kate released several photos of their growing firstborn as a way to thank the public for giving them 17 months free of intrusion.
Meanwhile, despite the fact that the Queen was also in attendance, it has been reported that the Royal couple, particularly the Duchess of Cambridge, has some sort of holiday misunderstanding. The Daily Mail said that when the Queen invited the couple to join a traditional event only reserved to the former's closest relatives, the couple only obliged to congregate briefly with the royals and then return to their place in Anmer Hall to George for lunch.
Moreover, the site also said that there was the issue of William and Kate choosing to dine with the Middletons for Christmas dinner as oppose with the royals. The site explained, "It's the festive dilemma that plenty of couples will be familiar with - just how do you divide your time between your respective in-laws... the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge...attended church with the royal family - then headed back to their Norfolk mansion for a slap-up turkey dinner with the Middletons... The decision raised eyebrows as royal watchers had expected the Cambridges to join the Queen and Prince Philip at Sandringham for lunch, as they did last year."
But as Classicalite reported, the suggestion might have been hyped up considering that the couple turning down the invite does not mean that it is a snub.
