"Frozen 2" is coming. There's no stopping it. No escaping it. Eventually, the "Let It Go" obsession that gripped the country last year will shrink in the shadow of whatever monster pop song comes packaged in "Frozen 2."
But "Frozen 2" isn't out yet- and until it is, all we can do is speculate about what Ana, Elsa and Olaf will be up to in a few years.
So let's do a little speculating.
First up is the rumor that Emily Blunt might star in the next "Frozen." Which, according to Emily Blunt, seems unlikely. The actress spoke to Cinema Blend about the current rumor that she'd appear in the much-anticipated Disney sequel, but what she said isn't very encouraging. At least not to "Frozen" fans.
"No, no! That [series] is for my friend Kristen Bell, who just CRUSHED it, and I am so happy for her. So no. I don't know. There's just never going to be another Elsa and an Anna. There's just can't."
Cinema Blend suggested a part as a princess in a neighboring kingdom, to which Blunt responded:
"Wouldn't that be great? Who knows? She could be obsessed with flowers, or something..."
But KDramaStars adds that Disney is ready to release a "Frozen" short entitled "Frozen Fever," which will include all the major characters from the film. Hopefully, the short can point us towards where the sequel might be headed.
But will there even be a sequel? Idina Menzel, who originally put the idea of "Frozen 2" in people's heads, is now downplaying the idea. Today spoke to Menzel about the sequel, who responded with the following:
"You know, I have no idea," said Menzel. "I just assume because it's so successful, that that's what they're up to - [another film]."
Those are, sadly, not the words of someone who's in the know about a "Frozen" sequel. Unless she's just trying to cover Disney's tracks and keep the sequel a secret for now (who knows?).
Eventually we'll figure it out.
Check back soon for the latest on "Frozen 2."
