Channing Tatum teases 'Gambit' film release date; 'X-Men' Spinoff to hit theaters soon to pit against Warner Bros. 'Live by Night'?

Twentieth Century Fox has made a recent announcement that will surely break all box office records and will certainly delight fans everywhere. The X-men spinoff move, Gambit is set to be released in theaters everywhere on October 7, 2016.

Earlier today, Twentieth Century Fox also made the announcement that they have broken global box office records with more than $5.5 billion in 2014. The studio announced that they will be in production of the X-men spinoff movie of the Cajun kinetic card wielder and will have Channing Tatum playing the titular role.

Channing Tatum took to his Twitter account to announce the solo Gambit film release date. "How do you say October 7, 2016 in Cajun?" the 'Magic Mike' star tweeted.

In an earlier interview, Tatum gave his thoughts about the film and the character he was playing: "We really do want to try our hardest to give something fresh. We're obviously going to go to the saving-the-world superhero movies eventually, but maybe not for the first one. We kind of want to introduce this character in a very different way. When you try to do something different, you never really know right off the bat what that is. We're feeling our way into it. And we really just gotta prove that concept of that person." he said.

Gambit will be written by Josh Zetumer, and will notably be the studio's eigth X-men film. The X-men spinoff movie will be pitted against Universal's 'Monster High' and Warner Bros. 'Live by Night.'

Fox also announced that they have shifted release dates, in particular the next installment of Planet of the Apes which was moved to July 14, 2017.
