‘The Winds of Winter’ Update: Release Date revealed by Publisher? George R.R. Martin is under pressure to finish up the book

By

"The Winds of Winter" is one of the most anticipated book sequels to the "A Song of Ice and Fire" epic novel saga of George R.R. Martin. The release date for the book has been constantly rumored since last year. Fans will now get a better view with regards to the release date although it's not the news that they are hoping for.

IDigitalTimes reports that Jane Johnson, the U.K. publisher of George R.R. Martin, was asked on Twitter on the chance of "The Winds of Winter" getting published this year. Johnson tweeted last Jan 7, 2015 that "It's not in our 2015 publishing schedule as it stands - I know no more than that at the moment."

Last year, George R.R. Martin himself debunks rumors on the release date of the latest book in his epic novel. There were reports last year that Martin will release "The Winds of Winter" in the culmination of the "12 Days of Christmas" Westeros style countdown. The author clarified in his personal blog that the reports were false and he will release the book once it is done.

While the U.K. publisher of George R.R. Martin made an initial announcement, this is not not definite and final. Martin said earlier that he will announce the release of his book without any "clues to decipher, any codes or hidden meanings," Martin is very firm in his post that "the announcement will be straightforward and to the point."

Fans are very excited in the release of the upcoming "The Winds of Winter" according to the Christian Today. It is not surprising that there are a lot of rumors with regards to the release of the book and while we do not have a definite release date yet, the "Game of Thrones" TV series will be back this April.

"Game of Thrones" Season 5 is the TV Series adaptation of "A Song of Ice and Fire" epic novel of George R.R. Martin. The Outhousers reports that there may be gray zones in the upcoming season considering that the plot in the TV series will almost reach the end of what Martin has wrote in his novels. This puts a lot of pressure on Martin to finish up "The Winds of Winter" in order for the TV series to have more room in its story. There may be deviation in the story to "fill up" the time before "The Winds of Winter" is released. This may be considered good news since viewers of the HBO hit series will have at least seven episodes.

"The Winds of Winter" will open up a lot of plot in the epic of novel "A Song of Ice and Fire". Hopefully George R.R. Martin can finish up the book before the "Game of Thrones" catches up with its story.
