Nina Dobrev just heard the news that no woman wants to hear! Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have officially announced their engagement after six months of being together. How is the 'Vampire Diaries' star taking the news?
According to Hollywood Life, Nina Dobrev was shocked when she heard the news that her former boyfriend was now engaged to the 'Twilight' actress.
"Nina is devastated over the engagement news," the insider said. "She can't believe this is all happening so fast."
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have been exclusively dating for just six months now, but the pair have been friends for a long time.
"She [Nina] is completely shocked. She heard the news from mutual friends and can only shake her head in disbelief. She knew Ian and Nikki were into each other but she never thought in a million years they would get married this quickly! It's a tough pill to swallow." the insider added.
The former couple have decided to remain professional, and are still closely working together in 'The Vampire Diaries.'
"Nina will put on a brave face and say all the right things. But inside it's killing her." continued the source.
Nikki and Ian have definitely not been shy when it comes to showing their affections. Ian had took to his Instagram, and posted the following: "How I spent my New Year's Day - in a #tbt way- wow. Week one of 2015. Thank you for giving me so much strength - we're ready to kick major a** and make a great future starting now . According to a report Nikki and Ian are both head over heels over each other and are definitely committed to each other. "Nikki said she wears the ring on her right hand because they want to keep it quiet for now. They mentioned a June date, they are really excited," says a source for In Touch
