"Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this coming March. Only 5,000 copies of its upgraded limited Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition will be released worldwide.
2K Games and Gearbox Software has just recently revealed its plan to release "Borderlands" to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dubbed as "Borderlands: Handsome Edition", the game developers says that it will be available for the next-gen consoles this coming March. According to GameSpot, there is also an extremely limited premium bundle for "Borderlands" that will include a Claptrap toy.
There will only be 5,000 copies of the limited Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition and die-hard fans of the game will definitely want one since the Claptrap toy is a real robot that can be controlled by smart phone. Its features include a working camera which allows the controller to see the line of vision of the Claptrap Toy. It may also move around on one wheel using a gyro technology.
The Handsome Collection will have a cross-save function between the old consoles and the next-gen consoles. Players will be able to transfer their save from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 as well as between Xbox One and Xbox 360. There will also be a four-player split screen for the game as reported by PCMag. 2K Games President, Christoph Hartmann said that the Handsome Collection will allow players "to experience the full arc of Handsome Jack's rise and fall." He added that players may follow the story of the main protagonist "from his not-so-humble beginnings on Elpis to becoming the tyrannical Hyperion CEO on Pandora [in this] all-in-one value-packed bundle."
According to Cinemablend, the "Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" will cost $60 while the extremely limited Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition will cost $40. Both bundles will have the full Borderlands game as well as all the DLC in Borderlands 2, Character Customization Packs, as well as the "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel"
"Borderlands: The Handsome Collection" will be released on March 24. Its Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition will also be released worldwide in limited copies.
