Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter V" album may not be out yet, but in the meantime the rapper has released a mix tape where he disse the supposed reason for the delay of his studio album, former mentor Birdman and his long-time label, Cash Money Records.

Instead of "Tha Carter V," fans of Lil Wayne has been treated to a mix tape entitled "Sorry 4 The Wait 2" featuring 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, iLoveMakonnen, Shanell, Drake, and Christina Milian. Included in the mix tape is the remix of Beyonce's song "Drunk in Love," which features Milian, who is rumored to be Lil Wayne's girlfriend, shares NY Daily News. Moreover, "Try Me" by Dej Loaf and "No Type" by Rae Sremmurds, "Hot Nigga" by Bobby Shmurda, and "Maneuvering," by iLoveMakonnen are also in the track list.

"Sorry 4 The Wait 2" is a "consolatory mixtape for fans still waiting for 'Tha Carter' series' much-delayed fifth installment," says sources.

The mix tape is a sequel to "Sorry 4 The Wait," which came out in July 2011 because of the delay in "Tha Carter IV," eventually to be released a month later.

The second installment to the apology album shows artwork hinting at Lil Wayne's issue with his record label.

According to Rolling Stone, "The artwork shows an arm-presumably Wayne's judging by the tattoos-with a handcuff secured around the wrist but free on the other end, perhaps hinting that the rapper is almost free from his burden." It seems to highlight Lil Wayne's statement back in December that he feels like a prisoner of Cash Money.

In fact, Lil Wayne sings in the opening track called "CoCo": "Cash Money is an army, I'm a one-man army."

Hollywood Life says that the apology mixtape seems to be a declaration of war against Lil Wayne's former mentor, Birdman, who is the current CEO of Cash Money Records. "Tha Carter V" has been delayed because of a supposed fight between the record and the rapper. "Tha Carter V" should have been out October 2013, but got delayed multiple times in 2014. Currently, there is no scheduled release date for the album.

Reports say that the rapper might be considering a move to No Limit records.
