Lil Wayne's Twitter account NOT hacked; Singer wants out of Cash Money Records after beef with "Baby" Birdman over the label not wanting to release "Tha Carter V"

Rumor has it that Lil Wayne is having a feud with Brian "Baby" "Birdman" Williams and Cash Money Records, which has gotten to a point where the singer wants to get out of the label he has been a part of for almost two decades.

According to Billboard, Lil Wayne's album, "Tha Carter V," which is scheduled for a December 9 release, might not be available for fans at all, and the singer is considering getting out of Cash Money Records because of it. Lil Wayne himself posted on Twitter to tell his fans about the issue, saying, "To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it."

Lil Wayne also says that it isn't his fault the album is delayed. The singer apologized to fans, to himself, and his family for the situation. Lil Wayne further mentions on Twitter that he and his creativity are held "prisoner." Another post has him saying he wants out of Cash Money Records.

Following his four-part rant on Twitter, some speculated that his account may have been hacked, but on December 5, Lil Wayne put those rumors to rest, says Atlanta Daily World. When Lil Wayne took center stage at a Brooklyn party, he is caught on video telling the crowd, "It's a f*cked up situation, but I will be out of it soon, and I do it for ya'll."

However, it might not be easy for Lil Wayne to leave. Billboard shares that Lil Wayne's new contract with Cash Money Records, which he signed on April 2012, has him under the label for four albums, which means he still needs three more albums until he is free.

VH1 mentions Lil Wayne spending almost two decades under the label, which he also presided over in 2007. "These are strong words from a man who had a stint as the president of the company for a short time in 2007," the article mentions.

"Tha Carter V" was supposed to be released at the end of October, but was pushed back to a December release date.

Lil Wayne's supposed beef with his record label and "Baby" comes months after another artist, Tyga, expressed frustration about the delay of his album, "The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty" under YMBMB, relays Billboard.
