Ryan Adams sets tour with Jenny Lewis despite split-up with Mandy Moore? Divorce, spousal support issues arise

By

Singers Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have ended their marriage with an amicable divorce, but an exclusive report says it might not be so amicable after all.

Moore and Adams are the next couple to break their marriage, USA Today reports. The 40-year-old and his 30-year-old wife have "mutually decided to end their marriage," a joint statement says. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

As their marriage has been quiet, their marriage life and the divorce have been quiet as well, remarks E! Online. The couple got married on March 10, 2009 in Savannah, Georgia. Moore and Adams do not share any children.

Though a joint statement mentions an amicable settlement, Radar Online says that that might not be the real reason. The article mentions exclusively learning that Moore has filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences, and that the singer/actor wants spousal support. Adams was in New York for "Late Late Night with Seth Meyers" when Moore filed for the divorce in L.A.

Before news about their divorce broke, Moore even spoke about making new music where Adams will be collaborating. Moore revealed in November that she is writing with life as her inspiration, though she has no idea "what it's going to sound like" at the time. Moore also mentioned making the album in Adams' studio "so his influence will be all over it."

Also in 2012, Rolling Stone reports Moore contributing background vocals to songs for Adams' 2011 album "Ashes & Fire." Specifically, Moore's vocals is heard in "Trouble," and "Am I Safe." The two had been dubbed an unlikely couple because of Adams being a "prolific rocker" while Moore is a pop star.

Back in 2010, Moore told People that she had reached a "little happy ending" with her life, adding that she is very supported and loved. She also mentioned her and Adams preferring to stay indoors.

Meanwhile, Adams was less willing to share about his private life. In a September interview with an Australian radio show, Adams straight up said, "I just don't share at all about my personal life." Adams apparently hung up when marriage questions didn't stop.

Adams will be touring with Jenny Lewis in the spring.
