Gamers from all over the globe are getting more and more excited as Square Enix revealed new info about the third installment of the Kingdom Hearts series. The title was first announced by Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts game director Tetsuya Nomura in 2010. But with a lot of projects and great amount of work to be done on each of the projects, it seems that the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date is still uncertain. Moreover, the lack of official updates has made some of the fans rely on hearsays and fan sites for the latest info about the game.
Recently, however, Square Enix’s co-director Tai Yasue was interviewed, and he said that the company is actually doing its best to beef up the title and ensure the gamers’ satisfaction. As a matter of fact, Yasue revealed some of the game details, featuring a bagful of new challenges like new stages, new bosses, and an extra level, which is said to be unlockable after the players has gone through the main storyline. Yasue also added that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be using Unreal Engine 4 for a more immersive gaming experience, along with Square Enix’s shading technology for a more vibrant look of the game.
Additionally, Square Enix was reported to include new characters into “Kingdom Hearts 3” including Darth Vader of “Star Wars”, Elsa of “Frozen”, Iron Man of Marvel, and other well-known characters from Disney. Although Yasue didn’t give any confirmation whether the appearance of such characters will be so. The meticulous work, however, has already put Square Enix at a slow pace in developing the game, which is probably the main reason of the delay for Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.
Be prepared to return as the more matured Sora, as he sets for new adventures through new and epic Disney worlds. Tagging along with this young keyblade wielder are Disney’s most familiar characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy, who were also his travelling companions in the first Kingdom Hearts games.
Square Enix remains silent on the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date, though there are already hints that it should be in the Q4 of 2015. Their plans of releasing it first on Xbox One and Playstation 4 remains.
