Fear would get a name and a face in "Gotham's" next episode as detective James Gordon (Ben Mckenzie) and his partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) hunt down a psychopath murderer who was targeting people with severe phobias.
In the upcoming episode, "The Fearsome Dr. Crane," avid fans would have a glimpse on the origins of the proto-villain Gerald Crane, a teacher who would become "the Scarecrow." Also, it's payback time for Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) as she gave details on Oswald Cobblepot's (Robin Lord Taylor) dealings with the city's underworld. This would seem a quick recovery of her constitutions for Mooney who nearly had a date with death in the previous episode.
In the last episode, "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon," Mooney finds herself strapped on a gurney as she was taken prisoner by Carmine Falcone's (John Doman) men after Cobblepot ratted her out and revealed she was Liza's employer. After Cobblepot, who would be Penguin, sang like a canary, Falcone richly rewarded him and gave him Mooney's club, which he in turned showed to his mother.
The story would then revolve around the blood trail left at Mooney's club, with Gordon, who just got reinstated as detective, and Bullock trying to find the perpetrators as well as the killers of one of their assets in a drug bust. Gordon believed it was a cop who did it, while Bullock brushed off the thought. However, Gordon would be proven right, thanks to the help of Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) who gave them a lead regarding the murder weapon. This led to the arrest of the dirty cop, which many at the precinct did not like, as Gordon for took out one of their own.
As for Mooney, she had her set of saviors, which led her to escape date on a couple of occasions. On the other hand, her near encounter with death led her to Cobblepot's revelations of his professional relationship with Falcone.
The events on the previous episode, however, overshadowed young Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) search for justice and featured the boy millionaire's folly for companionship, which he would discuss with Gordon in the next episode.
