Titanfall's ninth update has been released by Respawn Entertainment resolving some issues like connectivity bugs as well as minor bugs. The game has been released last March by EA.
Vince Zampella, the CEO of Respawn Entertainment, told the media last December that there might not be further content which relates to Titanfall. So the developers have to form another team which will take charge internally of a different project. According to JBG News, Zampella also confirmed the second project will not be available anytime soon. "Titanfall" will not have future sequels that will be considered exclusive to a particular platform. That means that the Playstation version will still remain on the cards.
In addition, as cited in Computer and Video Games, the boss suggested to the studio that it is unlikely to release more content updates for the Titanfall since they wanted to shift their focus to another project.
He said in an interview, "At this point we don't have any new content necessarily planned, that doesn't mean there won't be. But you know we have to move on to the next game as well. We've been putting so much effort into content to support this game up to this point that it's been a little debilitating in moving onto the next game."
"Respawn Entertainment doest not want to make more Titanfall," he added. However, Game Zone said in their site that though Zampella doesn't want to make more updates to Titanfall, but he didn't meant that there won't be no more possible updates in the future.
On the other side, Respawn has hired Stig Asmusson, the former lead developer of God of War 3, which was made earlier this year. Asmusson is currently working on in an unnamed game which will be Respawn's next released game title.
"There's no pressure right now as to what it is ... We're waiting and doing it right. Stig's somebody I've known for a long time. I have a lot of respect for him; he's done an amazing job on past projects. I was talking to him for a while and the opportunity came up when things went down at Sony to bring him on board and I jumped at it," he cited about the non-titled project at their studio.
