Fans are getting anxious for the release of "The Winds of Winter" which will cover the cliff hangers of the previous books in the epic novel "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin.
"The Winds of Winter" aims to address the unresolved issues and story that were left in "A Dance with Dragons". George R.R. Martin is working on his books from different angles.
In the same report, Martin has stated that "There are discarded chapters and paragraphs and everything in-between. Because I follow the characters and they sometimes lead me down dead ends. So, at the end of the sequence, I will probably have tens of thousands of words or even hundreds of thousands of words of unused material."
He also added that "There's at least one deleted chapter from book five - which left me in the wrong place - which I have been tempted to publish as a sort of short story." Fans would like to get their hands on these unpublished materials and it will be a good teaser before "The Winds of Winter" is officially published.
Speaking of teaser, George R.R. Martin has been teasing fans with his published excerpts and chapters from "The Winds of Winter" as early as 2011 during the publication of "A Dance with Dragons". He left a chapter preview for "The Winds of Winter" at the end of "A Dance of Dragons" and another preview, entitled "Mercy", can be found at his official website.
While fans are getting excited in these chapter previews, most of them want to know if there will be a 2015 publication for the book. There are some fans who even asked George R.R. Martin's UK publisher, Jane Johnson, in order to get information for the release date of the upcoming "The Winds of Winter". However, the UK publisher did not leave a definite reply and she only said in her Twitter account that "The Winds of Winter" is not in their 2015 publishing schedule.
George R.R. Martin has no deadline coming from his Publisher and the seasoned author may write on his own pace according to a report. However, their sources also says that "The Winds of Winter" should be published this 2015 but it was delayed to 2016 since George R.R. Martin has to maintain his health and keep out of stress while writing "The Winds of Winter".
"The Winds of Winter" may not get published this 2015 but fans can still be surprised if George R.R. Martin finishes his book within the coming months. After all he already said in his live blog that "When it is done, I will say that's it is done, on whatever day I happen to finish."
