"The Americans" Spoilers: Philip goes to the rescue as Elizabeth loses "key of intelligence"; Will Stan resolve conflicts, impress his wife?

"The Americans" Season 3 premiered yesterday on a Wednesday night on FX. In this season, it exposes much complications. The series opened its season with Elizabeth who's dreaming about teaching Paige how to swim by throwing the scared girl to the pool. This is also an apt metaphor for the moral dilemma for Jennings for this season.

As detailed by the International Business Times, Elizabeth met with a disgruntled and disillusioned CIA operative who gave her a list of agents who are working in Afghanistan, where the current conflict was taking the center stage in the Cold War chess match. But she had a suspicion over the sudden change of behavior of the operative who immediately had a change of heart and ratted her out from the restaurant phone booth.

She was also suspecting that there was something suspicious on-going. She left after picking up some FBI agents and disposed them off, however, not allowing herself to be beaten fearing that she would lose the names she got from the operative.

When the intel has slipped through Elizabeth's fingers, Philip must help her. During that time, he was attending an EST therapy seminar with Stan (Noah Emmerich), which is a therapy approach that was quite popular during the timeframe.

According to Inquisitr, she has lost the "key intelligence" which caused Philip to ask help from Annelise. He then asked Annelise (Gillian Alexy) to get the information from Yousaf (Rahul Khanna). So, she helped him however confessing that she is falling in love with a Pakistani ISI agent.

On the other side, Stan who has grabbed Philip to attend the seminar has been through a lot of rough things. After the seminar, he directed himself to report to work to find out that Nina (Annet Mahendru) has been found guilty of treason in Moscow. This depressing news was then followed with another one, when he visited at Sandra's, where he got another argument with his wife after she got disappointed with his EST dabbling.

Philip got angry to Elizabeth when he knew that she was spending so much time priming Paige to their spy world. He still disagreed to their daughter's joining.

Meanwhile, Heavy detailed the short descriptions of the next episodes and some spoilers that the viewers should watch out.

By February 4, its second episode "Baggage" Elizabeth and Philip will come together to settle with a mission that gone wrong. But the two are increasingly struggling with their differences of their ideologies. Moreoever, Stan welcomes Zinaida, a Soviet defector, to America. Nina acclimates to her new living arrangements.

As reported by the same site, there will be a Kamasutra sex scene and Philip's having relationship with an underage girl. This scene would make viewers feel uncomfortable though it has been reported that it would be included in their season.
