"The Amazing Spider Man 3" does not have a definite release date up until now. Fans who were waiting for the news of the latest installment in the Spider Man film franchise are getting worried on whether their favorite superhero may websling his way to the theaters this 2016.
As early as 2013, Sony, the film producer of the Spider Man film series, has announced that they are going to schedule the release of "The Amazing Spider Man 3" on June 10, 2016. But the winds have changed in July 2014 at Sony's office and the company announced that the third film in the rebooted Spider Man franchise will be delayed until 2018. A report indicates that Andrew Garfield will be replaced by Tobey Mcguire in the third film.
In the same report, Director Marc Webb said that the plot for "The Amazing Spider Man 3" movie will revolve around Peter Parker's sorrows for the death of his lover in the second film. The film will also deal with Peter overcoming his grief and loss. Norman Osborn will also play a part in the upcoming film.
Another report indicates that fan-favorite J. Jonah Jameson, Peter Parker's boss at the Daily Bugle, will be joining the upcoming "The Amazing Spider Man 3" movie. There were rumors that Jim Carrey might take the part considering that his acting style can fit JJJ's personality.
It was also reported that J.K. Simmons may reprise his role as JJJ in "The Amazing Spider Man 3" since he had done well in his previous performance of the role. In one of the actor's recent interview, Simmons was asked if he was going to do another Spider-Man movie, the actor did not answer "no" but instead he said that "I just heard that we...that's a possibility." And when he was asked if he wants to play his previous role as J. Jonah Jameson, he promptly replied without hesitation, "Absolutely."
This can be good news for the fans since an actual "The Amazing Spider Man 3" movie can be under development. Even though it's still too early to tell still it's something that can get the fans can get hold onto until an official announcement was released by Sony.
"The Amazing Spider Man 3" may be slated for a 2016 or 2018 release. It is still too early to speculate on whether it will hit the theaters before the "Sinister Six" movies or after. One thing is for sure, fans will still get to see their friendly neighborhood superhero next year on the big screen.
