"Street Fighter V" is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PC next year with amazingly competitive gameplay and great visual effects. Game may include a small roster of characters with room for DLC.
In the recent Taipei Game Show, "Street Fighter V" was showcased by Capcom Producer, Yoshinori Ono, and an exhibition match between Ryu and Chun-Li was staged. The visual effects and graphics were already amazing even though it's still under development at this stage. Fans of the game franchise can expect massive improvement over the quality once the game hits the shelves.
Fans may get disappointed with the news that Capcom is planning to release "Street Fighter V" with a smaller roster of characters. Yoshinori Ono explained in one of his interviews that they are keeping the roster small so that beginners can easier adopt in playing the game. This will encourage new comers to try and learn the game without finding it overwhelmingly difficult and frustrating to absorb. Larger characters will entail a large number of move set and different play styles which can be daunting for any beginner.
Budget was also considered by the production team in limiting the characters into a "small" roster. According to Ono, production costs can be kept at a minimum with a smaller roster of characters. Reports has it that only 16 fighter will be included at launch. However, a future DLC characters can be possible and it will be a great way to expand the game without compromising the adjustment of its new players.
As of this time, only 3 characters were confirmed for "Street Fighter V". Ryu and Chun-Li are already playable as can be seen in the demo. Charlie was shown at the end of the extended trailer and he may join the roster of characters at the game's launch.
Game producers said that Charlie were included in "Street Fighter V" since a lot of fans were demanding him. According to a report, fans of Guile may not be able to see their favorite character in the upcoming game since Charile and Guile can't co-exists in the same game and it will be impossible to make a compromise. Unless the development team make huge adjustment and changes in the gameplay and story.
"Street Fighter V" is a PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive fighting game which is set to be launched on March 2016. Fans will just have to wait a little bit longer before they can get their hands on the latest game from the longest running fighting game in the game industry.
