Samsung is expected to release its flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S6, this March at Mobile World Congress 2015 according to reports.
A slew of rumors from a French website speculate that the Korean manufacturer has made plans of a slimmer, taller design with tighter bezels and smaller width sides compared to its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S5..
As cited, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be 12.5% thinner than Galaxy S5 at proximately 143.52 x 70.7 x 7.19 mm (5.65 x 2.78 x 0.28 inches). If such leak is true, this new model will be of the same shape with S5, however, the expected upgrade is that the body will be using aluminum materials rather than plastic.
Another report further claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 release is an "innovative premium handset with special function assumed to mean the dual-curve display." The leaked schematics indicate a 20-megapixel main camera that has larger space with optical image stabilization.
It is also predicted that the new mobile gadget will be equipped with a 64 bit Exynos 7420 soC chip in lieu of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 to address overheating issues. Some of the devices will be using special 64 bit Snapdragon 810 chipset that Qualcomm has designed particularly for Samsung due this March.
In a related story, some speculations surface online that the Korean manufacturer has plans to launch an S6 variant, the Samsung Galaxy S Edge. This new development came in when Vodafone in the Netherlands is said to have deliberately released a page suggesting that S Edge is also arriving. Moreover, this smartphone will feature two versions, a standard and an Edge version with dual flexible edges.
Other spec rumors include a 3GB of RAM in three internal storage versions of 32GB, 64 GB and 128 GB, each has a memory card slot. Samsung Galaxy S6 release date is expected on March 1 during the Mobile World Congress 2015.
