Sony has unveiled Ready at Dawn's new AAA third person shooter title exclusive for PS4 featuring The Order 1886's cinematic flair on a TV ad before the game's release date slated this month.
The 30-second promo spot highlights the game's characters, setting, and visual effects instead of gameplay details. It showed London landmarks struck down by rocket fire, four protagonists under fire of mysterious undead creatures as they descend from an airship and so on.
Rus Weerasuriya began writing the game story from 2005 to 2006 and seemingly, the game creator came up with a specific look to it that when PS4 was launched, they never thought twice to offer it to Sony as one of its next gen console titles.
The Order 1886 release takes pride in its revolutionary filmic vision where players can experience a beautifully captured and realistically re-imagined 19th century Victorian London setting. As what the Playstation website suggests, the game will be one of the epic war movies one can see at present.
The game's story revolves around a conflict between the rebels who declared an all-out war against The Order and authorities. The half-breeds known as the ancient foe take the sides of the rebels.
The game's heroic characters are led by the protagonist Galahad who is described as an expert-tracker and hunter who is notably having a calm, cool and professional demeanor to resemble a Knight in shining armor. Other heroes include sir Perceval/Sebastien Malory, Lady Igraine/Isabeau D Argyll and Marquis de Lafayette.
The game also features remarkable London Landmarks such as Big Ben, the Crystal Palace, the London Tube, Mayfair, Pace of Westminster, and White chapel. Players can see some giant airships and electric trains as well.
Advanced technology weapons like Arc Gun, Thermite Rifle and Monocular including Combo Gun and Flag Grenade are used and the members of The Order 1886 use a wireless device for communication.
The Order 1886 is now made available for pre-order at $60 in Collector's and Premium Editions and is set to release exclusively for PS4 in US and UK on February 20.
