Bruce Jenner Responsible for Malibu Car Accident Because of Texting?

By

Bruce Jenner is subject to investigation after the multiple car crash that killed one on February 7. However, Jenner may be off the hook if he is smoking as what new photos suggest.

Jenner may have been uninjured in the accident that happened in Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, but he is still under investigation. According to Hollywood Life, police wants to know if the former Olympic champion has been texting while driving. Warrant for his phone records and phone is apparently being requested, and any proof of texting can land him in jail.

The article says, "If Bruce was texting and driving, he could face a vehicular manslaughter charge if he is the one found responsible for the four-car accident."

On Sunday, Stg. Phil Brooks mentioned Jenner being photographed holding a phone, but the time when the photo was taken has not been confirmed, shares LA Times.

The charge may result to Jenner spending six years in jail.

However, TMZ reports a sequence of photos rising to the surface showing Jenner with his hand raised around the time of the accident, and it allegedly clarifies that he was not texting. Instead, he is reportedly smoking.

"The picture was taken by an independent photo agency just before Bruce slammed into a Lexus Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, sending that driver into oncoming traffic where she was killed after colliding with a Hummer," the article reports.

Jenner is also reported to have "slammed on his brakes before impact and veered right to avoid the Lexus," further hinting that he was not responsible for the death. Moreover, deputies allegedly believe that the Prius in front of the Lexus may have triggered the collision by suddenly stopping.

Meanwhile, Jenner is apparently traumatized by the incident that left one dead and seven injured. A source mentions Jenner "overwhelmed with grief and in severe pain over what's transpired."

Apart from Jenner, other drivers involved in the accident are also being investigated. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Cmdr. Mike Parker, phone records of the other motorists involved will be up for examination as well.
