As is the case for nearly every blockbuster this year, it's the toys that are our biggest source of spoilers. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" has already suffered multiple leaks via its upcoming LEGO sets, and now a set of "Jurassic World" action figures has given away some potentially MAJOR details about the fourth "Jurassic Park" film.
Now as we all (presumably) know, "Jurassic World" hinges around a new dinosaur dreamed up by the gene-tamperers in the park's laboratories. It's part T-Rex, part Velociraptor and little parts of other nasty beasts, and it's called the Indominus Rex. We've seen little glimpses of it so far in the film's trailers, and from what we can tell, it's pale in color, very big and very mean.
But as far as anyone knew, that was the only hybrid dino in the film. Not anymore- on the UK toy site Wind Designs (via ScreenRant) is an image of an upcoming "Jurassic World" toy. And, just like the Indominus Rex, this toy is a hybrid dinosaur- and one we've never seen before.
It's also a little weird. Called the "Stegoceratops," it's one part Stegosaurus and one part Triceratops (basically, a Triceratops head on a Stegosaurus body).
So how does this dino feature into the film? Well, there are a few possibilities. One is that the Stegoceratops won't feature into the film, and is just something drummed up by the toy division to look cool. The second option is that it might be a sort of precursor to the I-Rex- as the film's scientists explain how and why they made the big bad beastie, they'd point to a Stegoceratops, languishing in a secret chamber somewhere, as an example of their earliest work.
Or, option three: the Stegoceratops is actually a massive secret, and a reveal saved for the very end of the film (for a sequel, or for the film's climax). But that's by far the least likely option.
As far as smaller spoilers go, those same toys (via MoviePilot) have revealed something else- the names of Chris Pratt's four trained velociraptors in the film. Now, we know: they'll be Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo. Fairly standard, as far as velociraptor names go. But keep on the lookout for more "Jurassic World" toy spoilers- as we get closer to the film's release date, there's bound to be more scoops out there.
