The tournament schedule for 'Dead or Alive 5' last round's battle is set by December according to the developers. This encompasses dozen of tournaments which includes NECXVI grand finals.

According to Game Informer, there will be 11 qualifying tournaments per slate that feeds to the NECXVI grand finals. Each of the 11 tournaments promises a pot bonus and prizes to award for the best fighters. Among the 11 tournaments, there will be four of them that feature a first-place sponsorship prize. The prizes at stake are paid flight, hotel, venue and entry to the grand finals. The rest of the points will be bestowed to the grand finals. In addition, the top two players will have the same paid perks and at the same time an entry to the grand finals.

The same site also displayed the complete schedules of the tournaments where the players can join. These schedules are set from this month until November, a month before the grand finals - December 3 to 6. Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be available by February 17 in PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The PC version will be a bit delayed which will be released by March 30. Whoever wins the tournament will be a guaranteed player sponsorship by 2016 finals plus a pet bonus of $3,000.

Meanwhile, there was an existing conflict between the modders and the developers. They revealed that Dead or Alive 5 PC version could be the last if the modders don't behave well themselves. International Business Times cited that the game will not be release by the set date for the PC version launching due to the pre-emptive threat of the developers to the gamers who might come up with a naughty content for the fighting game.

Hosuke Hayashi, the Team Ninja leader and producer, for the title, explained that the characters involved in the game are all represented alike - both male and female. "The characters, both male and female alike, are created in a fantasy setting and are using extraordinary abilities to compete with each other in a clearly light-hearted, over-the-top universe," he said.

Though Hayashi remained steadfast with his team, Yohei Shimbori, the director for the title, is concerned with the PC modding because of the characters which includes a roster filled with scantily-clad, titillating women [one of DoA's infamous traits].

Hayashi defended that the women in the game should be represented as dynamic, strong, and confident. He added that as long as the game is produced in Japan, there would be a different interpretation to its beauty unlike in Europe and US.

With the delay of the PC version of Dead or Alive 5 which will be released through Steam, Steampower quoted that the developers have appreciated the patience of the avid gamers while waiting for the game release since it was changed from February 17 to March 30. As a form of their appreciation, they will be offering Halloween 2013 set (28 costumes) which will free of charge to all users puchasing DoA 5 Last Round in Steam.

After three months of its release, the online modes for Dead or Alive 5 Las Round will be added in a patch.
