The adage, "lighting never strikes the same place twice," would completely be made false by the latest accomplishment made by Capcom as they once again struck gold with one of their earliest titles, which was remastered in high definition, "Resident Evil."

"Resident Evil HD" remastered edition was dubbed as the "fastest-selling digital game across North America and Europe in Capcom's history." This was the report released by the video game giant after computing its sales of the survival horror classic on Jan. 20th.

The game came as a download for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 to the tune of USmce_markernbsp;19.99. Fans of the title who had played the earlier version could hot help but admire the crisp detail of "Resident Evil HD" remastered edition. The remastered version subsequently arrived after GameCube remake of the original "Resident Evil" last 2002, that made sales of 1.35 million copies.

It seemed that the wait for another release of the game's original title was worth while as game producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi could not contain his gratitude for all those fans who bought the "Resident Evil HD" remastered edition. Hirabayashi said that through "the passion and support" of fans, they were able to produce a remastered form of the "acclaimed survival horror masterpiece." Fans even gave their thumbs up in a forum built on Steam for the remastered edition.

After their victory with "Resident Evil HD" remastered edition, Capcom had been asking fans to look forward to the next title, "Resident Evil Revelations 2, set for release on 2015 for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The remastered edition was originally set for Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo Wii before it was released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

With the latest PSN record that the game had set to seal its mark in gaming history, "Resident Evil HD" remastered edition once again proved that it is truly and icon.
