‘Silent Hills’ PS4 Release Update: Leaked "found footage" reveals unworldly spooks in revival of horror adventure game; Launching to happen this Halloween

This franchise could arguably be one of the most scariest titles ever made, not recommended for players with week constitutions, especially those who have heart conditions. With such success, the developers planned to release a remake; players should be warned: this game would not only horrify the players, it would haunt them.

"Silent Hills" (yes, with an "s") came from the successful "Silent Hill" franchise brought to life by Kojima Productions and Konami. It would be the ninth title from the series, which would be under the direction of Hideo Kojima ("Metal Gear Solid") and Guillermo del Toro ("Hellboy"). Also, it would star Norman Reedus ("The Walking Dead's" Daryl Dixon)

It was as early as Sept. 2012 that Konami President made a call to Hideo Kojima to direct the upcoming game revival. By Aug. 2014 during the Sony Computer Entertainment's presentation at Gamescon 2014, a playable teaser was released available in the PlayStation Store and intended for PS4 game consoles.

The demo was later transformed into a "found footage" released by fans would were able to complete the demo (or playable teaser) and solve the puzzle at the end. The footage was then uploaded by YouTube user Gamebillstudio.

The "found footage" would be within the lines of "Paranormal Activity 1" (2007) or "The Blair Witch Project" (1999) where the protagonist held a camcorder and recorded everything along the path. The "Silent Hills" demo would be set in a house, empty though it did not seem to be abandoned, which the protagonist would be investigating while doing a scan of the environment using the camcorder. The eeire sound effects, from the creaking door to the giggling baby only made the experience a lot creepier.

Now that Konami and Sony Computer Entertainment had the undivided attention of the series' fans, the developers revealed that they would targetting a Halloween release in 2016, and claimed that there's "lots of time left" before the players would be able to return to that acursed community, now set in "Silent Hills."
