"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is primed to be either the greatest or the absolute worst movie of 2016. Flick's got like six different superheroes already- and while it's clearly a setup for a future "Justice League" movie, we can't forget that, technically speaking, it's actually a sequel to "Man of Steel."
And because of that, most of the "Man of Steel" cast is returning to the next film- including one more actress that's just been announced as a part of "Batman v. Superman."
The actress? Christina Wren, who played military woman Carrie Ferris in the latest Superman film. The part wasn't particularly major- mostly, she was there to be part of the film's military scenery, and the to make a comment about Superman being totally hot.
But Carrie Ferris may have more to do in future films- especially if she's, as is rumored, secretly the DC Comics character Carol Ferris, love interest of Green Lantern Hal Jordan and the future villainous warrior Star Sapphire.
Wren has acknowledged the possibility that her "Batman v Superman" character may one day gain superpowers:
"So there's some gossip; this has not been officially confirmed with me at all. But my character's name is Carrie Farris; there's a character named Carol Farris who's the Green Lantern's girlfriend and turns into this superhero, Star Sapphire. But I have no idea if that's the plan; they're not even slated to do a Green Lantern film for several years."
But whether that'll actually take place remains to be seen.
As well, other rumors speculate on the potential villains of "Batman v Superman." We all know Lex Luthor will be played by Jesse Eisenberg, but is there a secondary villain? MoviePilot has three potential options in mind- Doomsday an alien who famously killed Superman in the comics, Metallo, a cyborg with Kryptonite powers, or Lex Luthor himself. Any one of them might be possible. We'll probably find out when "Batman v Superman" finally decides to reveal an official theatrical trailer.
