The observation of the "Sister Wives" Brown household has commenced, and the post-graduate anthropology students observing Kody and his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, have been welcomed with how difficult it is to handle a big family with a lot of children.
The two anthropology students observing the Brown household saw for themselves how difficult it is to manage time for four wives and a lot of children in a polygamous family, as seen in season 6 episode 5 of "Sister Wives" aired on February 8. Richard and Antoinette were told by their teacher to identify the role of each wife in the household, but it is not the only thing the two took notice of.
According to Movie News Guide, the kids in the Brown household expressed being comfortable with the two students, and were "happy as if friends are coming over" after the initial visit. However, it was not only happiness that the students observed in the household.
"Richard observes that with so much children, most of the Brown kids are running around and looking for affection and attention," the article says.
Reality Tea also mentions the "family church" missing some of the children for a variety of reasons. "Logan is rock-climbing, Hunter has too much homework," says the article.
Despite the household being full of children, the parents are still seen trying to make time for issues to be resolved. Kody's daughter with Janelle, Madison, talks of joining the Mormon Church, with her revealing that she "found peace by joining the Mormons."
Janelle and Kody were seen shocked by the news "because she never brought it up." However, upon mentioning that it helped her depression at university, Janelle agrees.
Kody and Janelle also had issues with their two sons, Garrison and Gabriel, who fought in a parking lot because of a car seat.
Despite the family trying to act normal around the students, Kody couldn't help but ask his own questions and get to talking about their living situation. Kody and the students discussed humans being naturally polygamous, to which Richard apparently agrees.
The conversation did not seem to be an easy topic for Robyn, however.
When talks about living with their loved ones "outside the bonds of marriage" came up, Robyn is shown trying to "shield" her kids from the conversation, which the students translated as Kody's current legal wife's "Mama Bear mode," shares Celeb Dirty Laundry.
