Fun Disbandment Cause of Delayed Album Release? Nate Ruess Speaks of Solo Projects, Band Addresses Rumors

By

2013 Grammy winner for best new artist has been bombarded with rumors regarding their possible disbandment. Since their success with the "Some Nights" album, the band hasn't done any follow-activity or album release. These made the fans speculate that the band might be breaking up. With the front liner Nate Ruess' statement last year regarding going solo, there has been solid evidence that the band might be breaking up soon. But the "We Are Young" band addressed this ultimate question by posting their message on Facebook.

According to Rolling Stone, Nate Ruess, the lead vocalist speaks about the song "Nothing Without Love". "It felt so believable; I was saying what I was thinking. This is the first time I've been comfortable in my own skin, and it's with someone who's comfortable in their own skin. The reason I'm making a solo album is because it's the first time.", he said. "People were expecting a lot out of the next fun. album. Everybody wanted to squeeze every last drop out of it, but those things are hard to duplicate. The smartest way to look at things is to know they're never going to happen again. People thought I was fucking nuts, but I'm not out to chase something. I'm out to be happy."

With the band's members Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff and Andrew Dosts having separate commitments outside the Fun. Band, the hopes of the fans for another record-breaking album might be looking bleak for them. Antonoff is on his project with Bleachers, meanwhile, Dosts is been out shooting for films. Despite the different affairs of the band, Nuess says he's very happy for them. Finally, in a Facebook post, the three slammed shut the rumors about their break-up. "First and foremost to answer the question that has been raised most often : fun is not breaking up." the statement says.

So all the Fun. fans can now relax because the band is here to stay. There will be a new Fun. album, just not now. What do you think will the band do next? Tell us your thoughts below.
