"The Legend of Korra" is over. Done. Finished. Kaput, even. As far as the official word is concerned, Nickelodeon isn't making any more episodes and the show's creators, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, have zero plans to return to the "Avatar" or "Korra" universe anytime soon.
But that doesn't stop the fans from craving more "Korra" like it's an addictive substance. And the latest fan outcry is that "The Legend of Korra" ditch its status as a TV show and become a movie. Could it work? Maybe. Would it be possible to get Nick and Konietzko/DiMartino onboard? Less likely. But a mass group of fans can still dream.
And dreaming they are- the latest to come from the "Korra" world is a fan casting for a potential movie. MoviePilot thought this one up, having selected a hypothetical cast member for each of Korra's major roles (through the first season, assuming that a "Korra" film would cover Amon's story in season one).

Tenzin: Ken Watanabe
Asami: Kimiko Glenn
Bolin: Harry Shum, Jr.
Mako: Godrey Gao
Lin Beifong: Michelle Yeoh
Amon: Daniel Dae Kim
While some of these actors aren't as well known as others (Watanabe and Yeoh are consistently popular, the others less so), that might be a pretty solid fit for a "Legend of Korra" movie.
Sadly, most of this is hypothetical for now. The one straight answer that's been given was from Zelda Williams, who voiced Kuvira in the series. When asked about a potential continuation of "The Legend of Korra," here's how Williams responded: "No clue sadly, but I'm doing new VO work I can talk about soon :)"
Not the most satisfying of answers, is it? But "Korra" fans have launched a petition to keep their favorite show going, and whether it's on Netflix or a feature film, it's likely we'll see the "Avatar" universe return in some form, at some point. If it can happen to shows like "Futurama" or "Longmire," it can certainly happen to this one.
