Episode 14 of 'The Flash' season 1 will open up some theories about the identity of the killer who took the life of Barry's mother in the past. One of which is that Reverse Flash is Dr. Wells, which is Barry from the future. Another one is that it could be Barry was there when Reverse Flash killed his mom.
According to a report, one theory revealed that when Cisco told Joe it was not Dr. Wells who killed Barry's mom - it was Barry's blood. This suggests that Barry killed his own mom. Another speculation is that, Dr. Wells is the Reverse Flash or that Dr. Wells is Barry from the future. However, many fans seemed to disagree with these two theories.
On the other hand, it could also be Barry was there when Reverse Flash killed his mom. Furthermore, fans have already seen that Barry can already go time-travel, and Cisco's tech proved that adult Barry was at the house where his mother was killed a decade ago.
Here's the official synopsis for episode 14, the "Fallout":
"After the nuclear explosion separates Ronnie (guest star Robbie Amell) and Dr. Stein (guest star Victor Garber), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team believe both men are safe. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) is thrilled to have her fiancé back and prepares to resume their life together while Dr. Stein returns to his wife. However, when General Eiling (guest star Clancy Brown) targets Firestorm, Ronnie and Dr. Stein must decide if they are safer together or apart. Meanwhile, Mason Bridge (guest star Roger Hayworth) tells Iris (Candice Patton) that there is something secretive going on at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Stein gives Barry some important information about time travel."
Previously, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Line, "There's an unexpected, accidental time travel coming up and it is played both for hilarity and darkness. It happens in an episode [Episode 15] and we're really excited. It is the first Weather Wizard episode with Liam McIntyre."
Although the time travel happens in episode 15, the epic arc will happen in Fallout.
'The Flash' airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW
