"Captain America 3: Civil War" is set for its theatrical release on May 6, 2016. A lot of superheroes will be involved in the upcoming war as they choose side between Iron Man and Captain America. Nick Fury may make his appearance in the upcoming film but which side will he choose? Samuel L. Jackson reveals all.
Nick Fury may be getting on the end of line in Marvel Cinematic Universe and the SHIELD director may go all out in a blaze of glory in the upcoming "Captain America 3: Civil War" movie. Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who portrayed Nick Fury, revealed that he may be done with Marvel superhero films.
When Samuel L. Jackson was asked in a recent interview on whether he will eventually end playing Fury, the actor said that "Yeah, I only have two more movies in my contract [Laughs]. That might be the end of it, unless I get an extension. I don't know."
Nick Fury appeared in several Marvel superhero films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He was seen in the post credit scenes of several superhero films wherein he recruits each superhero in order to assemble The Avengers. He appeared in seven movies which includes "Iron Man",""Iron Man 2", "Thor", "Captain America: The First Avenger", "The Avengers" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". Additional report also state that he will also appear in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".
Thus, the only two possible films left for Nick Fury in Marvel Cinematic Universe is the upcoming "Captain America 3: Civil War" or "Avengers 3: Infinity War."
Nick Fury joining the upcoming "Captain America 3: Civil War" have the same impact as Spider-Man joining the MCU considering that Nick Fury have been one of the few characters in Marvel who have a sway on both Iron Man and Captain America. He knows the two heroes and he can influence them in certain ways. While it may not be certain, Nick Fury can help in minimizing the casualties once Captain America and Iron Man clashes with each other.
It is still unknown on whether Nick Fury will survive the upcoming Civil War but the more important question to ask now is which side will Nick Fury choose seeing that Fury has a close ties to Captain America and Iron Man.
