Two Giant retailers, Amazon and Target offer a hefty 33% discount off regular price on pre-order of the highly anticipated hit RPG, Kingdom Hearts 3 prior to its released date sometime early next year according to some reports.
Amazon and Target both have pre-order page for the third installment of the popular Disney video game offering at $40.99 from $59.99, a 33% price slash offer to gamers who would like to pre-order Kingdom Hearts 3, although, it's not knowwn how long this discounted price promo will run.
Target has a placeholder release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 on October 1, 2015 while Amazon has put December 31, 2015. The Target release date looks exciting, however, it's less probable that Square Enix will be releasing the game in 2015 when there hasn't much work done on the game to release this year. A speculation of a 2016 release date for Kingdom Hearts 3 is seen to make more sense.
According to Kingdom Hearts 3 co-director Tai Yasue, they're doing everything they can to increase speed and get a release date soon.
"We've been working full throttle on Kingdom Hearts 3. It's moving along. We structured our team in a way that development of 2.5 doesn't impede Kingdom Hearts 3. I'm actually every excited about Kingdom Hearts 3," Yasue said.
Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura has also suggested that a multiplayer and/or online mode could be possible for the game, athough, no confirmation is made on this report as of yet.
Nomura added that the game will pick up the story following the events that happened in Dream Drop Distance saying,
"It's the final episode in the 'Dark Seeker' saga that began with the original Kingdom Hearts, and it'll depict the final battle with Xehnort."
Nomura also talked a few details about the new visual style of Kingdom Hearts 3 as shown in the trailer. "We spent a while figuring out what direction to take Kingdom Heart's visuals in the next generation," he said.
"Should we go for a more realistic look like in recent projects, or try something else? Along the way, we remembered that these Kingdom Hearts characters were originally paintbrush art from Disney productions, a texture that was one of our original aims, and that it was time to return to that."
Kingdom Hearts 3 release date is pegged to arrive for PS4 and Xbox One late this year or early next year.
