Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin's relationship has a left a lot of fans wondering if the two are indeed more than friends. Despite being constantly seen together, both insist that they are 'just friends.' Could there be more to their relationship than what they say they are?
The celebrity model insists that she and the 'Boyfriend' singer aren't a couple. She was asked on Valentine's Day if she and Justin were planning anything special on that day.
"I have no plans because I am single, and it's okay with me" the 18-year old model said. "You know, we're just going to pretend like it's a normal Saturday and go on with our day."
In between events with New York Fashion Week, the pair have been spotted spending time together as recently as Saturday morning. They reportedly attended the Fendi event together and were seen leaving New York's in the wee hours of Saturday morning. They also attended Kanye West's Adidas Runway event together.
Despite being constantly seen together, the pair insist that they only have a platonic relationship going on between them. "We're just friends. I've known him for a long time, since I was about 13," Hailey told E!News, "He's just going through a time in his life where he's transitioning in a really positive way and he needs good people around him. And I'm trying to be a good friend and be there for him and support him."
The pair have been evading rumors that they are a couple since the time they reportedly started going out. "It's for obvious reasons why they are denying it. Hailey doesn't want to fall in the same trap Selena [Gomez] did and be known just as 'Justin's Girlfriend', and Justin wants to make it look like he is still attainable," a source tells Hollywood Life. "Being considered single is a moneymaker for Justin and he is definitely looking to improve his image and appearing single is a part of that image re-haul."
There have been previous reports that Hailey is furious at Justin for making attempts in destroying Selena Gomez's relationship with rumored new boyfriend, Zedd. Justin seems to be troubled and is insisting that "it is not true love". Hailey seems to be a bit insecure over Justin's affections for his on and off again girlfriend and it is really sad because she deeply cares for the troubled singer.
