"Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Steven "Stevie J" Jordan was pleaded not guilty for his child support case last Tuesday.

According to New York Daily News, the reality star and at the same time music producer was charged with failing to pay more than $1 million for child support for two kids though he is making $27,000 monthly over 13 years. His case was tried in federal court which should be done in a state court as a norm for family proceedings cited by Reality Tea.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew DeFilippis said, "There is a history in this case of the failure of Family Court to address this successfully." He explained that due to the extreme amount of dollars that Steve owes were not able to have suitable resolutions since there was an existing filing errors.

During the trial, Stevie told the judge he believed that he would save him from his financial oblgations since he believed that the judge has been fair and have clearly understood the system.

"It seems like the judge knows this is a frivolous case here," Stevie said in an interview with TMZ. He added, "He needs to get all the information about the dismissal in state court. God willing he'll throw this out because of lack of jurisdiction."

He explained that baby mama doesn't live in New York and so is he. Thus, he find it questionable to have this case heard in a NYC Federal Court instead in Atlanta. Ecumenical News said that the case he is facing now is not with Mimi Faust's child but with a woman from Pennsylvania, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy.

Previously, this case was already been dismissed in state court last year so, Stevie is confident enough that he would have the same result. As detailed, he has increased support payments to $8,557 in 2011 from $6,600 monthly child care since 1999 and has been delinquent ever since despite his $27,000 monthly earnings.

If Stevie will be convicted, he will have to face two years in prison as well as increased fines. The complaint was Jordan's inability to pay not more than $8,500 for his two children.

While in court, he was accompanied by his hotheaded "alleged wife" Joseline Hernandez and as usual, dressed appropriately, wearing a skin-tight gray dress with fur trim with high-heeled boots. Then, he promoted his new single 'DNA' with Snoop which will be released by next few weeks.

Stevie J. has worked with P. Diddy and known for his charismatic presence on the VH1 reality show. His presence is believed to be the main reason why the show succeed.
