"Sister Wives" will be continuing on to next season, with the reality show based on a polygamous family renewed for season 6. While revelations are expected to rock the finale on March 1, fans get a clarification from Meri and Kody on why they only had one daughter.
According to The Wrap, "Sister Wives" will be coming back for a sixth season in the fall after its fifth season concludes on March 1 with a two-hour special, the second part of which will be used for a tell-all moderated by "Today's" Tamron Hall. In the tell-all, "She (Hall) will discuss an array of topics with the Brown family, with no subject off limits," says the article.
The special tell-all is also where the family intends to "set the record straight" about their legal restructuring, mentions Zap2It.
Season 6 will be continuing despite the children who have left the household, and TLC is expected to play into how the sister wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn deal with it.
TLC revealed plans for the renewal of the hit reality TV series in a press release, says Starcasm. In the announcement, it has been mentioned that further details will be aired about the real reason Meri opted for a divorce with Kody.
Moreover, the article adds: "The Brown family shares exclusive details about what really happened this season."
Prior to the revelation that Meri wanted the divorce, it had been speculated that Robyn might have been pregnant. Being the youngest of the wives, Robyn was reported to have the potential to give Kody another child while Meri was considered an empty nester.
However, it seems that Meri only having Mariah as a daughter was not because of an unhappy marriage, if the cast's tweets are to go by.
On February 15, Kody's Twitter shows a post pertaining to their daughter with the father saying, "Wish @MeriBrown1 & I could have had more."
Meri also clarified that the reason they did not have another child was because it was "not that time of our lives." "Neither @realkodybrown or I were feeling strong to have a baby," her tweet says.
