Samsung Galaxy S6 shows better result on benchmark tests compared to its strongest rival Apple's iPhone 6 with almost a land slide winning streak for the Korean top smartphone brand.

Samsung Galaxy S6 showed an impressive 5,478 multi-core points over iPhone 6's 2,885 score. Galaxy S6's last record surfaced on January 26, 2015. In single-core category, however, iPhone 6 pulled off 1,627 points, while Galaxy S6 managed 1,520 points.

In Apple's line, iPhone 6 came second after its iPad Air 2 with a whopping 4,531 multi-core points, even smaller than Galaxy S6's.

This figure suggests that tech geeks can hold on to Samsung's promise to make Galaxy S6 a new flagship smartphone in the family and will bring an distinguished remark on its debut on March 1 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

According to a Korean news site Naver (via Google Translate), one thing Samsung Galaxy S6 can do that iPhone 6 cannot is the built-in support for wireless charging. However, it was earlier reported that Apple's latest development can also do wireless charging.

Among the Galaxy S line of the tech giant, S6 is expected to showcase glass-made front and back panels to enable wireless charging feature. In terms of battery capacity, Galaxy S6 is rumored to hold 2,550 mAh, which means a 10-minute charging can last up to four hours of use.

Meanwhile, iPhone 6 ill sport Apple's signature aluminum case in rounder and smoother edge from the previous ones. It is also expected to be the thinnest iPhone to date.

iPhone 6 will have a 4.7-inch screen compared to Galaxy S6's rumored 5.3-inch display. For processor speed, the latter will possess A8 chip and M8 graphics, while the former Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 64-bit build.

Samsung's is also expected to boast a 20MP camera with optical image stabilization capacity, while Apple will only have 8MP. In terms of storage, the iPhone series has been offering up to 128GB which more likely be present in the latest line, while Galaxy S6 sticks to the 16GB space.

Although no sign that Samsung is pre-empting price ranges, suggestions follow that Galaxy S6 will cost £600, while no price reports have surfaced yet for iPhone 6.
