There are no further announcements yet from the official release of Titanfall 2. Respawn Entertainment, however, mentioned that it would likely to launch by 2016. EA replaces Microsoft to publish game which will be released in multiple platforms.
Rumors about its official release was high when Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella made his previous statements. He said that this year will be silent year for the developers. He described, "Where teams will be heads down, back to work." Thus, speculated to have the game currently under development. Perhaps, gamers could expect its release early next year.
After learning its lesson of ostracizing other players who don't own Xbox consoles, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed that Titanfall 2 will be in multiple platforms such as PS4, Xbox One, and PC. They wished to include everyone to enjoy the entire gameplay without limiting it to one particular console. Thus, they decided to release it in multiple platforms by next year.
"Last year it was on the Xbox only," he said, making it much frustrating to players who don't own Xbox consoles. This resulted to a shut from sales from millions of dollars through postponing PS4 releases. The said console was said to sell over 18 million units, really less from the expected. So, the game developer could think that there are still a lot of gamers out there who weren't able to play the game because of it.
It was also reported that fans will like it much more if the PS platforms are also included with the game release since it will not suggest exclusivity to gamers around the globe.
During the Technology, Internet, & Media Conference weeks ago, Jorgensen mentioned about the future of the game franchise. He shared about the possible upgrades or improvements they will be making for the game to improve experience to gamers.
He added, "In the future, we haven't yet announced, but we'll probably have another Titanfall game. It will be probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that's a huge positive for us."
The game itself has received a lot of positive feedbacks from the players amid downside in terms of their sales. As a proof, it has accumulated a record-breaking tally of six E3 Critics Awards since they won from the Gamescom and the Tokyo Game Show's official awards.
The game is described as "a multiplayer FPS game" which focuses on the mechanic soldiers which are named as Titans. These Titans are categorized into three classes. They are named as Atlas, Orge and Stryder. These three classes will have to accomplish the objectives set to each game mode.
Titanfall 2 will likely to release early next year in PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. Fans will have the chance to see the preview of the game during this year's E3 2015 event. No further deails announced yet.
