'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Deaths of Lord Baelish, Robert Arryn to be witnessed? New season even Gorier than 'Red Wedding'?

By

HBO's hit TV series 'Game of Thrones' is notorious for shocking fans with some rather bloody character deaths. It comes to no surprise that characters will be killed off in the much anticipated season 5 of the show.

Author George R.R. Martin recently revealed in an interview that fans of the series should be "on their toes" in the upcoming season as the character deaths will get even more "shocking". This has made fans even more frustrated since no character is "safe" from meeting a bloody fate.

"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. So everybody better be on their toes." Martin said.

With this recent revelation by the author himself, fans are left in the dark as to who will be killed off in the upcoming season. There are many speculations, and knowing the way Martin's mind works, one can never be sure what will happen next.

It was initially speculated that Lord Petyr Baelish (Aiden Gillen) will be killed off in the upcoming season. The character has managed to survive thus far, despite being known to be a backstabber throughout the series. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark has revealed that there is one particularly traumatic scene that would be even gorier and shocking than the Red Wedding. Could this mean the death of Lord Baelish and the end of his controlling relationship with her?

Another possible character death would be Robert Arryn (Lino Facioli), the son of Lysa Arryn. Will Lysa's strange son fall victim at the hands of Baelish and Sansa?

With 'Game of Thrones' Season 5 coming up, no character is safe so fans could only speculate whether or not their favorite characters will live to see another day.

Who do you think will be killed off in season 5?
