Fans of "One Direction" do not have to worry about Zayn Malik starting a solo rap career after Harry Styles leaves the group, because the rumors are not true. Malik, Styles, and their other bandmates are reportedly working on a new album instead.
"One Direction" members have been hit by one rumor after the other, starting with Harry Styles reportedly planning to abandon his four bandmates. Shortly after, reports about Malik following in Styles' stead came up, with Perrie Edwards' fiancé apparently planning to be a rapper. Two other members, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, were also not exempt from the rumors, as the two are allegedly making plans to work together.
Fortunately for fans, there is no reason to worry about the future of the group yet, as it has been confirmed that no one is going anywhere. Instead of pursuing solo careers, Gossip Cop says that Malik and Styles are "working on new material for the new 'One Direction' album." Meanwhile, Horan and Payne are allegedly in the works with "Good Charlotte" and "Nickelback," but the songs are still for the same LP. The site's information allegedly comes from "a member of 'One Direction's' camp."
According to Hollywood Life, Malik's alleged plans to start a rap career have been met with opposing reactions from fans. "Most fans seemed to be concerned of a possible 1D breakup, while other fans were a little in shock about Zayn's rap career," the site reports.
For the part of his fiancée, Edwards seems unconcerned. The "Little Mix" member is instead reportedly using her free time to find "possible venues for their reception," Unreality TV reports. Recently, Edwards and her cousin, Ellie Hemmings, went for "vintage tea parties," with Edwards looking "every inch the silver screen Hollywood legend."
Despite not having concrete plans for their wedding yet, Edwards and Malik are also not breaking up. In an interview with Now magazine, Edwards mentions wanting to show off her engagement ring, J-14 notes. Edwards' post of her hand with the ring easily garnered attention as it was apparently the female singer's way to shot down breakup rumors.
