Samsung is almost getting the upper right hand in the smartphone competition with its flagship devices. With Galaxy S6 now getting glory at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, it proves that the latest in Samsung's S family is far better than its predecessor Galaxy S5.
Samsung CEO JK Shin shows off the breakthrough Galaxy S6 is made of metal and glass chassis. Meanwhile, Galaxy Note 4 gets a little step forward with its design. Moreover, Samsung in general has its devices differ not only in physical design, but with its specs too.
Set to release on April 10, Galaxy S6 boasts cooler curves, high resolution lightning-fast camera and super quick wireless charging capability. With S6, Samsung is giving the smartphone competition a good fight against Apple's iPhone 6.
The battery for S6 can lasts for up to 12 hours on Wi-Fi and charges "faster than any other smartphone in the industry," Shin said. It takes 10 minutes to charge the S6 to get four hours of battery life, he claimed.
All devices run with Android 5.0 Lollipop and are powered by mainstay Super AMOLED technology. Galaxy S6 is the lightest with only 138 grams. While Galaxy Note 4 uses Stylus pen, Galaxy boasts water and dust resistance.
All camera lenses stick to the 16 MP with LED support. However, Galaxy S6's aperture size also have F1.9 compared to the other two which have F2.2.
Galaxy S6 is the first device in smartphone competition to employ wireless charging. Previously, a benchmarking site showed Galaxy S6 hitting an impressive 5,478 multi-core points over iPhone 6's 2,885 score. Galaxy S6's last record surfaced on January 26, 2015. In single-core category, however, iPhone 6 pulled off 1,627 points, while Galaxy S6 managed 1,520 points.
