Nintendo is one of the pioneers of the console gaming industry and has withstood a thousand other competitions. However, as Sony explores the world of handheld console gaming, Nintendo might be facing another tough competition.

PS Vita Slim is from the second generation of the Vita series. Its predecessors had merely passed the public eyes as to there was nothing revolutionizing about them. If you are curious as to what this new PS Vita Slim or the PCH-2003 is, here is a sneak preview of what Sony has to offer.

1. The new PS Vita Slim is what one would consider a downgrade when it comes to connectivity. The previous versions of the Vita had 3G connection and Wi-Fi while the PS Vita Slim only uses Wi-Fi to connect to the internet.

2. The new PS Vita Slim sports an LCD touchscreen as opposed to its previous' versions OLED screen.

3. The previous Vita versions or the PCH-2000 had a dual analog stick and two touch surfaces. However, the new PS Vita Slim provides opportunity for modern entertainment. The latest model allows you to listen to music and watch movies through its SD card. Plus there are numerous numbers of apps like Netflix and Youtube.

4. The new PS Vita Slim now sports a rear and front camera for picturesque enthusiasts and a skype app for those who need it.

5. The new PS Vita Slim is of course slimmer than its predecessor. The latest model is said to be 15 mm thick and weighs 219 g. This has to be one of the slimmest handheld consoles there is.

The PlayStation Vita has been released more than 2 years ago and Sony has inched it way up the market for the said console. Though many would prefer the cheaper Nintendo products, there would still be fans out there to support the Sony cause.
